Welcome to Soul Strong Yoga
Hi. I’m Julie Afsahi, the owner of Soul Strong Yoga, and I’m so excited to share more about our classes with you. Each one has been carefully crafted to meet you wherever you are on your yoga journey, whether you’re stepping onto the mat for the first time or you’ve been practicing for years. At Soul Strong, we truly believe yoga is for everyone—it’s all about finding what feels right for you.
At Soul Strong Yoga, the heart of what we offer revolves around the practice of yoga. Most of our classes are thoughtfully designed to explore yoga’s many facets—movement, breath, mindfulness, and connection. Whether it’s the flowing sequences of vinyasa, the deep stretches of yin, or the restful poses of restorative yoga, each class is a unique expression of this beautiful practice.
Our goal is to help you discover how yoga can enhance your life, both on and off the mat, in ways that feel meaningful to you. Here’s a peek into our class offerings, and I hope that you will join us at our lovely studio in Round Rock.
Flow and Sunrise Flow
Our Flow yoga classes are such a beautiful way to sync your breath with your movement. Picture this: a class where every pose transitions seamlessly to the next, like a moving meditation. Flow yoga is designed to help you feel strong, graceful, and deeply connected to your body. We always offer options so you can adjust the practice to match how you’re feeling that day—whether you’re ready to challenge yourself or want to keep things gentle.
And if you’re a morning person (or want to be!), Sunrise Flow might just be the perfect way to start your day. It’s slower-paced at first, with time to wake up your body and set a peaceful tone for your day. There’s something magical about starting your morning with the warm glow of the sunrise and a calm mind. I love how this class leaves you feeling energized yet grounded—it’s such a gift to yourself before the busyness of life sets in.
Both Flow and Sunrise Flow yoga classes are led by our incredible instructors, who are so good at making every class feel welcoming. Whether you’re coming to find strength, balance, or a little serenity, these classes are here for you.
Beginners Flow
Oh, Beginners Flow yoga holds such a special place in my heart. When I think of this class, I think of kindness—it’s a space where you can take your time, ask questions, and feel completely supported. Whether it’s your first yoga class ever or you’re just looking to brush up on the basics, this is the perfect place to start.
We keep the class size small so that our instructors can really connect with each of you. It’s all about learning foundational poses, focusing on alignment, and finding confidence in your practice. There’s no rush, no pressure—just encouragement every step of the way. I know starting something new can feel intimidating, but this is a space where you can just be yourself.
And here’s what I love most about Beginners Flow: it’s not just about the physical poses. We weave in mindfulness and breathwork too, so you’re building tools that you can take with you off the mat. It’s such a gentle and empowering way to begin your yoga journey, and we’d love to be a part of it.
Flow and Stretch (Vin and Yin)
This class is like getting the best of both worlds. We start with an energizing flow to get your body moving, build some strength, and release tension. And then we transition into a slow, deep stretch that feels like a big exhale for your whole body. It’s one of my favorite ways to reset and feel balanced—like you’ve worked hard but also deeply relaxed.
The second half of the class is all about Yin yoga, which involves holding poses for longer to really target those tight spots and help release any stress or tension. I always say this part of class is where the magic happens—it’s like giving yourself permission to completely let go.
If you’ve ever felt like you’re torn between needing to move and needing to rest, Flow and Stretch is for you. It’s all about creating that balance, both physically and mentally. And I promise, you’ll leave feeling lighter and more at ease.
Stretch & Release
Stretch & Release is like a big, warm hug for your body and mind. It’s one of the gentlest, most nurturing classes we offer, blending Yin and Restorative yoga into one blissful experience. We use all the props—bolsters, blankets, blocks—so you can fully relax and feel supported in every pose.
This class is especially wonderful if you’re dealing with tension, whether it’s from sitting at a desk, working out, or just life’s everyday stresses. The long-held poses allow your body to soften, your breath to deepen, and your mind to slow down. I always notice how peaceful everyone looks by the end of class—it’s like we’ve pressed pause on the world for a little while.
What I love most about Stretch & Release is how it creates space—not just in your body, but in your mind and heart too. It’s such a gentle way to care for yourself, and it’s always here whenever you need to recharge.
Prenatal Yoga
As a mom myself, I know how important it is to feel supported and cared for during pregnancy. That’s exactly what Prenatal Yoga is all about—a nurturing space where you can connect with your changing body, prepare for childbirth, and meet other moms-to-be who just get it.
In this class, we focus on gentle movements and stretches that are safe and beneficial at any stage of pregnancy. Whether you’re looking to ease those common aches (hello, lower back!) or simply take a moment to breathe and relax, this class is designed to make you feel good. It’s also a wonderful way to build strength and flexibility that can support you through pregnancy, delivery, and beyond.
What makes Prenatal Yoga extra special is the community. It’s a chance to bond with other moms and share the journey together. I’ve seen so many friendships form in this class, and it fills my heart to see how we can support one another through such a transformative time.
Meditation
Meditation is such a gift, and it’s something we’re so proud to offer at Soul Strong Yoga. Whether you’ve been meditating for years or are trying it for the very first time, our meditation classes are a safe, welcoming space to explore mindfulness and stillness.
During these sessions, we guide you through simple techniques that help calm the mind and create a sense of peace. You don’t need any experience—just an open heart and a willingness to slow down. I love how meditation reminds us that we don’t have to be “doing” all the time. Sometimes, just being is exactly what we need.
And here’s the best part—our in-person meditation classes are completely free. We believe so deeply in the power of meditation to uplift our community, and this is our way of giving back. It’s our little contribution to making your day (and our world) a bit more peaceful.
Power Yoga
For those of you who love a challenge, Power Yoga is here to energize and inspire you. This class is all about building strength, endurance, and confidence through a dynamic, fast-paced practice. It’s a great way to sweat, move, and feel totally empowered by what your body can do.
While Power Yoga is a more athletic style, it’s still accessible with modifications for different levels. Whether you’re holding a plank longer than you thought possible or flowing through a strong sequence, you’ll leave class feeling accomplished and alive. It’s such a wonderful outlet for releasing stress while boosting your energy.
If you’re ready to take your practice to the next level or you just love the feeling of a good workout, this class is calling your name. It’s a perfect blend of effort and reward—challenging but oh-so satisfying.
Barre
Barre has become such a favorite here at Soul Strong Yoga because it’s fun, upbeat, and super effective! This class blends elements of yoga, Pilates, and functional fitness to give you a full-body workout that’s as graceful as it is challenging.
What’s great about Barre is that it’s approachable for all levels. You don’t have to be a dancer or have any special experience to jump in and have a great time. Our instructors are fantastic at offering modifications, so you can tailor the class to your comfort and goals.
And let’s be honest—Barre is one of those classes where you’ll feel the burn (in the best way!) but also leave with a big smile on your face. It’s a fantastic complement to yoga, adding variety to your routine while building strength and balance in new ways.
Mat Pilates
Mat Pilates is the perfect class for anyone looking to strengthen their core, improve flexibility, and cultivate body awareness. It’s low-impact but incredibly effective, focusing on controlled movements and precise alignment to target those deep muscles we don’t always think about.
What I love about Mat Pilates is how accessible it is—you’re working with your own body weight, so there’s no need for fancy equipment or prior experience. It’s all about building strength from the inside out, and over time, you’ll notice how it enhances your posture, stability, and overall confidence in movement.
Whether you’re recovering from an injury, cross-training for another activity, or just looking for a fresh way to connect with your body, Mat Pilates is a wonderful addition to your wellness routine.
Heated Flow
If you’ve never tried yoga in a heated room, you’re in for a treat. Heated Flow is a dynamic, detoxifying class that’s perfect for building strength, increasing flexibility, and releasing stress. The heat helps your muscles warm up faster, allowing you to move more deeply into each pose.
This class is great for experienced yogis and those looking to elevate their practice. It’s challenging but incredibly rewarding, leaving you feeling both energized and cleansed. And don’t worry—we keep the heat at a safe, comfortable level, so it’s never overwhelming.
There’s something about practicing in a warm room that creates such a powerful, grounding experience. It’s like all the distractions melt away, and you’re left with just your breath, your body, and the moment.
Yoga for Rest
Yoga for Rest is our sweetest, most soothing class—a blend of restorative yoga, meditation, and the calming sounds of singing bowls. This class is all about slowing down, finding stillness, and giving yourself the care you deserve.
Each pose is fully supported with props and held for several minutes, allowing your body to release tension and your mind to find peace. The addition of singing bowls creates a soundscape that feels almost otherworldly—it’s like being wrapped in a cocoon of calm.
This class is perfect if you’re feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or just need a little extra TLC. It’s a chance to step away from the hustle and reconnect with yourself in the most loving way possible.
