Join us on Saturday, September 23rd at 1:15 pm for a 75-minute class to help “grow your practice”. We’ll focus on headstands: often called the “king of asanas” because of their infinite benefits, Salamba Sirsasana strengthens your shoulders, arms, and core. It can increase focus, lift your spirits, boost your energy, and refresh your circulation. All that in just a few minutes! We’ll start with warm-up postures and a short flow of preparatory postures to warm up the body, and then we’ll workshop techniques to get in and out of the headstand, as well as places to pause along the way as you build up strength. In addition to some headstand variations (think: tripod), we will also discuss some additional alternative poses that provide many similar benefits. We’ll close with a cool down and savasana to complete the practice. You will leave with a solid understanding of headstands, but most importantly, feeling confident in a version of the pose that is right for you.
